.co domain availability checker

Type a name to see whether its .co is registered, asked live of the .co registry. If it is taken, the same name is checked in 17 other extensions below it, .com first. A free .co costs from $15.50 the first year and renews at $31.20; just over half the .co names people checked here (54%) were already registered.

Free, no sign-in. Free names show the price and a Register button; checkout confirms the name with the registrar again before you pay. Every extension at once: domain availability checker; mixed extensions in one list: bulk domain checker.

.co availability questions

Will people type .com instead of my .co?

Some will. .co is one letter short of .com, so visitors and email sometimes end up at the .com. If you build on a .co, check the .com row under the .co answer: free, register it too and point it at the .co; taken, look up its owner with the WHOIS lookup so you know where stray mail goes.

Is .co only for Colombian businesses?

No. It is Colombia's country code, run for the ICT ministry (MinTIC), but anyone anywhere can register one with no local presence, and the registry markets it as short for company. Most .co names are used by businesses outside Colombia.

Why does a .co renew at double the first-year price?

The first year is discounted; the renewal is the real yearly price. On 24 October 2026 a .co cost $15.50 at Dynadot and $15.76 at Porkbun to register, and $31.20 at both to renew, so five years come to $140.30. Budget for $31.20 a year, not $15.50.

Can I get a one-letter .co?

.co allows names from 1 to 63 characters, and t.co (the link shortener of X, formerly Twitter) shows it can be done, but the registry treats names of 1 to 3 characters as premium and prices them one by one. A short .co that shows free here can cost far more than the standard price at checkout.
